My charcoal has broken, floating particles, can I use it?Vegetable charcoal, due to its high porosity, is weakened and can break by dropping a few particles. This phenomenon is completely normal for a natural product. Although broken, it will be all the more effective because its contact surface with water will become more extensive. The charcoal particles will help with digestion (just like powdered activated charcoal)!

Why boil the vegetable charcoal stick?Charcoal has the highest adsorption capacity of any known natural or synthetic material. It has the power to attract and retain toxic particles present in the air and in the water. It is therefore important (before use and every 1-2 months) to sterilize it by boiling it in order to free its pores of toxins.
