1 stick is enough to filter 1 liter of running water. However, the water quality is not equal in each municipality. We advise you to check the water quality of your city, village via this link https ://www.quechoisir.org/carte-interactive-qualite-eau-n21241/.(https://www.quechoisir.org/carte-interactive-qualite-eau-n21241/)
If the water is of poor quality, prefer 2 sticks/L of water.
Some sticks can filter 500ml or up to 2L of water depending on their size.
Vegetable charcoal, due to its high porosity, is weakened and can break by dropping a few particles. This phenomenon is completely normal for a natural product. Although broken, it will be all the more effective because its contact surface with water will become more extensive. The charcoal particles will help with digestion (just like powdered activated charcoal)!
We have had the toxic adsorption capacities of the French activated carbon stick evaluated by an independent laboratory.Pre-water analysis(https://www.lecharbonactif.com/_files/ugd/bb4cc5_15d1b665dce740ea97855a41977933bf.pdf)

Charcoal has the highest adsorption capacity of any known natural or synthetic material. It has the power to attract and retain toxic particles present in the air and in the water. It is therefore important (before use and every 1-2 months) to sterilize it by boiling it in order to free its pores of toxins.
