Activated charcoal has been known for many years for its benefits on water, the body and the air.
Its slow combustion up to 600 degrees allows to obtain a high carbon rate. The charcoal is then activated with steam under pressure to increase its porosity and thus its efficiency. The more pores a charcoal has, the more effective it is and can adsorb many toxins. The activated charcoal is then ground and sieved to obtain a fine, multi-purpose powder.
